Last week I received a conditional acceptance letter to Kentucky Mountain Bible College (KMBC). It is conditional because the test scores for the ACT that I took are not in yet and they will be the deciding factor in the matter. I talked to admissions yesterday and got some questions answered and some new information. It is all coming together step by step! Its a little bittersweet. Lord willing I hope to leave here sometime after the week of July the 10th. I plan to make stops in Quinter and then head up to White Pines in Wisconsin for a few days and then see family in Indiana and Ohio as well. New student orientation begins on August 17th so I need to be there on the 16th. It seems like even though there is a lot of waiting right now, things are starting to roll a little faster!
As Easter draws near I am humbled once again at the price that was paid for my freedom. It is a little bit overwhelming to think that He died for me! I am so thankful for His sacrifice!
One mother sat her 10 yr. old down and explained Easter to her like this: Picture some sin that you are disciplined by your parents for and the heavy burdened feeling you have before you ask for forgiveness. Then picture all the sins of the whole world. All the stealing and bad stuff, Jesus died on the cross so that everyone who has already died, everyone who is alive right now, and everyone who will be born in days to come could be free from that feeling.The little girl burst into tears and cried for along time.
’Tis midnight, and on Olive’s brow
The star is dimmed that lately shone;
’Tis midnight, in the garden now
The suffering Savior prays alone.
The star is dimmed that lately shone;
’Tis midnight, in the garden now
The suffering Savior prays alone.
’Tis midnight, and from all removed
Emmanuel wrestles lone with fears
E’en the disciple whom He loved
Heeds not his Master’s grief and tears.
Emmanuel wrestles lone with fears
E’en the disciple whom He loved
Heeds not his Master’s grief and tears.
’Tis midnight, and for others’ guilt
The Man of Sorrows weeps in blood;
Yet He Who hath in anguish knelt
Is not forsaken by His God.
The Man of Sorrows weeps in blood;
Yet He Who hath in anguish knelt
Is not forsaken by His God.
’Tis midnight, and from ether plains
Is borne the song that angels know;
Unheard by mortals are the strains
That sweetly soothe the Savior’s woe.
Is borne the song that angels know;
Unheard by mortals are the strains
That sweetly soothe the Savior’s woe.
